David M. Rocchio
David served as legal counsel to former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean MD and helped create and execute many of the governor’s most critical policy initiatives. While chair of the governor’s Development and Criminal Justice cabinets, he was a senior policy advisor on issues pertaining to environment, energy and criminal justice.
Prior to that David was a litigation attorney at Hale & Dorr (now WilmerHale) and served as special litigator for Vermont’s Attorney General, where he specialized in the management and resolution of complex litigation.
David is also a writer – he wrote and plans to direct his first feature film, he writes short fiction and also pens a regular newspaper column. Additionally, David is an EMT-B and volunteers on the Mt. Mansfield Ski Patrol in his hometown of Stowe, Vermont.
David holds a JD with honors from Boston College Law School and a BA in Political Science with honors from the University of Vermont.
