Global Challenge Wins MacArthur Award
April 17, 2009: Stowe, VT. The Global Challenge wins an award of $183,000 from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation through itsDigital Media and Learning Competition. We are very proud of this award, and the team at GC who worked hard to compete for these funds. Our award is one of the largest given in this competition. For a description of the award and the Global Challenge see the description by the DML Program. Please also take a look at the offerings of the Global Challenge on its website. We created the Global Challenge to ”provide high school students worldwide the tools and confidence to solve global problems together.” It is a world-class organization and we hope you will take a moment to look into its work. To see Craig’s idea flower and grow — and be recognized by such prestigious organizations as the MacArthur Foundation — is incredibly rewarding. We take seriously the commitment which comes with this grant.
